Learner 1
-‘J’ left school at 16 without any qualifications and had little or no confidence in his abilities.
Following a programme of training and NVQ assessment with Mettech he achieved the national standard for plant operations which not only improved his self confidence but gave him the opportunity to progress to a Team Leader role with his employer.

-‘N’ was a Team Leader in manufacturing and embarked upon an Occupational Health and Safety training and NVQ programme.
“ I had been a team leader for many years and dealt with health and safety matters nearly everyday so the opportunity to receive some training and follow the NVQ was ideal for me.
Before I started the programme Mettech advised on the best route to take based on my own circumstances. As I progressed they continued to guide me, suggesting ways to overcome any problems etc. I went on to complete the programme and achieved the NVQ level 3 Occupational health and Safety award and I am currently planning to do a management programme.”
